Stadtplan Dokki und Mohandesin / city map of Dokki and Mohandeseen

Nachdem für den Zentrumsbereich auf der östlichen Nilseite bereits ein Stadtplan vorliegt, folgen nun die Innenstadtteile Imbaba, Mohandesin, Agouza und Dokki des Gouvernements Giza auf der westlichen Nilseite.
Der Stadtplan liegt wieder als kmz- Datei für die Öffnung in Google-Earth vor.

Unter http://www.cairolocator.com findet sich ein interaktiver Stadtplan von Kairo und Giza in arabischer Sprache.
Leider ist das Kartenmaterial nicht auf dem letzten Stand und Stadtgebiete mit informellem Charakter sind gar nicht enthalten. Die Bedienung ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und funktioniert nur mit active-x Unterstützung, sprich nur mit dem Internet Explorer.

The map requires active-x support and Internet Explorer - isn't working with Mozilla, Firefox or Opera.

Kairo Innenstadt, Cairo citycenter

Der folgende Stadtplanausschnitt zeigt den Innenstadtbereich der Hauptstadt Ägyptens auf der östlichen Nilseite mit dem sog. Koptischen Viertel im Süden, der im 19. Jahrhundert entstandenen Downtown sowie im Osten, mit den traditionellen Stadtvierteln, deren Ursprung auf das 10. Jahrhundert zurückgeht.

Der Stadtplan ist in dem Dateiformat kmz abgespeichert, welches mit dem frei erhältlichen Programm Googlearth geöffnet werden kann.

The following map shows the city center of the Cairo governorate. It covers the south with the Coptic Cairo beside the island Roda, the colonial part "Downtown" biult in the 19th century and the traditional Islamic Cairo founded in the 10th century.

The city map is available in the file type kmz to open with the free program Googlearth.
